I've debated where to start blogging again since it's been a couple of weeks and so much has happened in our lives and family's lives, but I'll start with Devin's graduation. Tom and I flew out to Atlanta on Wednesday, May 6 and got to spend 5 days with Sarah, Devin and baby Eva in the south. We had such a great trip. I can't begin to describe the joy I feel in my heart when I see how well my grown children are doing on their own, living in places far, far away. They aren't just living, they are thriving, as they love and serve each other, live and share the gospel and make a wonderful home for their family (this goes for Sara and Jonathan too). Devin and Sarah are great parents to little Eva. She is such a doll. She has the cutest, chubbiest cheeks that you can't help but want to kiss. We went out to dinner in Atlanta at a fun "Tea house" on Wednesday night and had authentic southern food. We spent Thursday in Helen, Georgia, an alpine themed town in northern Georgia, and Tom and Devin golfed while Sarah, Eva and I shopped. We went to graduation on Friday. It was fun so fun to see Devin get his master's "hood" in the Little John colliseum. We're so proud of his academic career. He graduated with his MRED with an almost 3.9 GPA. (sorry I had to brag) Devin and Tom went golfing at the Clemson "Walker course" after graduation. We ate in Greenville at a barbecue place for dinner. Saturday, after a trip to the Waffle house, we took an awesome drive through northern South Carolina and southern North Carolina and had a fun picnic at the Revolutionary War battlefield in Cowpens. We rated it a 9.5. It was pretty darn perfect, but felt we needed to save room for a 10 someday :) It was fun to spend Mother's Day in Clemson with my kids. After church, Sarah made us a yummy chicken mango dinner, we went to the park with Eva, and we had a crepe party while watching the finale episode of Devin's favorite show, "The Amazing Race". Monday we headed back to Atlanta and flew up to Philadelphia (see next post). Thanks Devin and Sarah for the wonderful week. We love you and are so proud of you!!!

Well said, Joan, well said. Nothing makes you happier than to see your kids "thriving" Congratulations, Devin!!! And don't apologize for bragging, Joan; otherwise, how would we know, and we're proud of him, too! That baby is just too cute!!!
