"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Taylor goes to the Prom

In the midst of the state tennis tournament, Taylor had a date to the Prom. It was his first official date to a school dance and he wasn't very excited to go, but all his senior basketball buddies talked him into it. He invited his friend Brianna to go by making a poster with glow sticks and then putting the poster and lots of activated glowsticks on the porch and front yard, ringing the doorbell and running.
She answered Taylor by "decorating" the basement with confetti, streamers and balloons.
For their day date, they went to Taylor's 8 am tennis match, rode bikes on the greenbelt, went to Taylor's afternoon tennis match, took pictures, then went to the Capital vs. Timberline state baseball championship game (Chad played and Capital won) where they were served a catered dinner, then on to the dance, dessert at Old Chicago, and then to one of the girl's houses. It was a very full and busy day and I think Taylor has learned that Proms mean a whole lot more to the girls than to the boys.

Stupid girls and all of their Prom nonsense. Take my advice. Next time, save your money and just go to Panda with your folks. You will probably enjoy it more and get major life wisdom in a fortune cookie.

I hope Taylor's future wife can forgive him for taking 2 girls to the prom (are we missing a boy, or is that just my poor eyesight?)-- and one in a VERY skanky dress. Nice. Looks like a confetti disaster more like it.

Which one is Briana? It is sad that those poor girls lost the tops of their dresses -stink. They are beautiful girls, though.

I agree with Sara's (disguised as Whitney) comment, there are 5 girls in this picture and only 4 boys. Did Beans have 2 dates? I guess if it's your first school dance, you might as well make the most of it with 2 chicks. Although I think Zack Morris (not to be confused with Zach Morris Cardon) tried this once on an episode of Saved By the Bell. The end result was chaos intermingled with moments of hilarity but I learned never to attempt two dates at once. Apparently Beans missed that episode. Good thing I had Saved By the Bell to serve as my moral compass throughout my teenage years.
