"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

I do love my Job!

I just returned from my Grandma Joanie job going to Richmond, Virginia to help Devin and Sarah with new baby Sophie. I love my Grandma job! Since Taylor is now out of the house and we are "empty nesters" I'm kind of retired from my Mom job, but I'm so happy to be put to work with my Grandma job. I loved being with Devin, Sarah, Eva and Sophie. What a sweet family.

I tried lots of new recipes and made lots of "good sports meals".
I will blog all the recipes on our food blog.
I also loved playing with Eva. What a cute big sister. She just squeals with delight when she sees baby Sophie. She is adjusting well. We played puzzles, Eva LOVES puzzles. We played in the yard,

We cheered on the Cougars in our BYU shirts
We went to the Maymont petting zoo and Japanese garden,
We made cookies
We gave Baby Sophie a few baths and lots of loves
I got to see Aaron, Carina and Adam. We invited them over for dinner one night. It was fun being together.

We went to music time at the church and then to the park with Eva's friends
As a thank you, Devin and Sarah took me to dinner at the Kona Grill. YUM! We had sushi, pot stickers, chicken satay, and lettuce wraps
Sarah was feeling and doing so well that we drove out to Charlottesville on Friday and had lunch at the Michie Tavern
Friday night we had an Indian food feast.
I love my family and nothing brings me greater joy than to spend time with them and see them raising their families in love and righteousness. I can't wait til my next Grandma job. Thanks go to Tom also for being such a good and supportive husband and letting me do my Grandma Joanie duties.

I adjusted well to having two kids AND a grandma around! Two kids sans grandma is a different story. :) Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming. We wish your ten days was ten weeks. Oh well, I guess we better just get back west before the next one comes.
