"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Hurray for the Red, White, and Blue

It was so fun to spend the 4th of July with Sara, Lucy and Zach. We started off with a bang (pun intended), and we went to the We the People, Liberty Parade in downtown Boise. It was missing a few horses, and high school bands, but we had fun nonetheless. We went with our neighbors the Manwaring's and found a prime spot along the parade route in the shade.
They didn't throw very much candy this year, but they did hand out popsicles, so all was not lost.
After the big parade, Grandpa Tom Tom was home from golfing, so we all went to Pirates! Band of Misfits. Zachy and Grandpa both fell asleep, so that tells you how exciting it was. We had a BIG swim party when we got home from the movie.
Then we had a fantastic barbecue!
We could hardly wait for the fireworks show to begin..we had to start before dark with our fireworks show, so we could go watch the BIG fireworks at the Boise Hawk's stadium.
It was a blast!

Ha! A Blast! No one in Utah got to do fireworks, so you're lucky. I wish I could come to your pool party right about now!

That tower of fountains looks very festive and like a fire hazard waiting to happen. Who designed that thing? Must have come from the mind of a man crazy enough to throw a lit ground-bloom flower into a pine tree. This family breeds pyromaniacs.

It was a great firework show, but not nearly as exciting as your wild neighbor's. At least the army men survived!
