Phase 3: The Cardon's Arrive

Whitney, Sara, Lucy, Zach and Leah flew from North Carolina into Salt Lake and then drove to Boise on Sunday, July 21, so when I got back from Patty and Hal's "farewell" Sara and family were there! 

We started the week off right with a trip to U-Swirl for FHE.

On Tuesday after we got all our work done we had a cupcake party!

Whenever Sara comes to town, we have to make a trip to Goodwood Barbecue.

She loves that place.

Leah got to meet Grandma and Grandpa Charlie

We met Grandpa Tom Tom for a picnic at the splash park.

The kids had a blast.

We invited the Smith's over and we had lots of swim parties.

Whitney is the most popular person in the pool.

Our stake hosted a Pioneer Day barbecue and Lucy and Zach had a great time.

We talked Sara into a one night camping trip. 

We drove up to Boiling Springs and found the perfect spot.

We had a delicious dutch oven dinner with barbecued chicken,
watermelon,

dutch oven potatoes,

homemade bread and honey butter,

Grandpa Tom Tom found some kind of animal skull and 

turned it into an offering for the "fire God"

Our friends, Rick and Aline Hurst joined us for our campout and made a delicious cobbler for dessert.

Later in the week, Tom and I left for the Dominican Republic to pick our missionary up and Sara picked Jonathan up at the Boise airport and then headed to Washington to visit the Cardon's and Whitney went to Provo and Los Angeles.
