"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

The Big 55!

All those that know me well know that I love birthdays. Not necessarily the getting older part, but just having your own special day.  On my special day my friends treated me to lunch at Costa Vida. What a fun surprise!
Tom took me to dinner that night at a new restaurant in downtown Boise called "Fork".  I had the braised short rib. It was delicious!

I also got a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
The weekend after my birthday, I drove down to Utah and spent some time with Patty and Hal. Patty, Hal and I decorated our family's graves in Logan,
Wellsville, and Lehi
Does this house look familiar??
Grandma Peterson's house where my Mom was born.
They treated me to a delicious dinner at Maddox.
Patty and I hiked right behind her beautiful home on Elk Ridge.
We saw lots of dear and horses.

What a view.
It was so fun to spend time with Patty and Hal before they leave for their mission. Unfortunately Patty got a bad cold, but we were able to do some family history work and I found Great Grandfather Isaac Fox' missionary journals in the church history library in Salt Lake. It was a great trip and start to the summer craziness!

Yea! A post! If you're 55, I don't want to even think about what I am.
