"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

A Summer Visit from the Cardon's

We got back to Boise from the cabin on Tuesday afternoon,.
Taylor was able to get some time off work up at Redfish Lake Lodge
so he drove down to Boise so all the "Trashers" could be together,
if only for a day.
Wednesday we went to downtown Boise (right by Devin's new office) and had a picnic lunch at the grove and the kids played in the fountain.

On Thursday we headed to the Boise Zoo.
We love the Boise Zoo, it is just the right size and it has some awesome exhibits.

The new "Walk with the Wallabies" exhibit is awesome.
They would hop right up to you.
Sara and the kids loved the penguins,
and the kids got to feed the sloth bear.
Feeding the goats is always a big hit.
We had dropped Whitney off for a session in the Boise temple while we were at the zoo, so the kids got to "touch" the temple while we waited for Aunt Whitney.
On Friday we went to Costco and did some shopping,
Zach loves his new Batman sweatshirt.
Friday night we had a hot dog roast at Devin and Sarah's new house
up in Hidden Springs.
Cousin time is the BEST!

Devin and Sarah's back yard is perfect for a slip and slide

Then we walked to the Hidden Springs Community pool for a swim

Saturday we had our 2nd annual Morris girl's, tea Party.
Tom took Zach and Grandpa Charlie out for breakfast at McDonald's and then to the Warhawk Air museum in Nampa.
The girls all came dressed in their finest.
Grandma Charlie even wore her beautiful tea party hat!

I was fighting a nasty cold, so I'm glad I could attend

Delicious strawberry mousse made by Auntie Sarah.
Thanks Aunt Patty for starting this fun tradition many years ago
We had an awesome swim party later that afternoon with the Smith family

Monday we went to "Rio 2" at the .50 movie
and then we went up to Devin and Sarah's for lunch
and shaved ice at the sno-shack.
Does this picture say "Summer" or what?
Sara and the kids got to go to the Lawfirm summer picnic at
a local park and splash pad on Monday evening.
I'm sure it was the highlight of their vacation.
Leah finally warmed up to Grandpa Tom Tom,
I'm pretty sure it was the cool fireworks and rocket launcher.
She loved helping him work in the yard.
Tuesday we drove out to visit Grandma and Grandpa Charlie.
The kids love all her fun little toys.

Cute little creamie eaters.
Jon flew in on Tuesday night, and on Wednesday we met Tom for lunch at Cafe Rio and then I drove the Cardon's to Le Grande, Oregon where we met Jon's Dad who drove them on to Washington.

Thanks for the visit Cardon family.
We can't wait until you come again!
