Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandpa's Cabin we go!

 Devin and Sarah got moved into their new home so it was time to Party! 

So where do we go to be together?? 

Grandma and Grandpa Charlie's cabin up in Island Park.

We arrived on Friday evening and got to work building a 

fire for some delicous tin foil dinners.

I never tire of this view!

For some odd reason, Sarah really likes chopping wood,

even in a skirt.

Grandpa build a special bench for the Grandkids.

Eva and Sophie were so happy to be at the cabin.

Saturday morning we took a little walk into Harriman State park

and had a picnic.

Look at that perfect picnic spot.

All it needed was a little more shade.

We even had a little blue bird neighbor

After the picnic, I drove down to Idaho Falls and picked up Whitney and Sara, and family from the rental car place.

The cousins were so excited to all be together!

The only people who couldn't be there were Taylor (who had to work)

and Grandma Charlie who wasn't feeling up to it.

One of the kids' favorite things to do is go for canoe rides on the river.

Leah loved dangling her feet off the dock.

Family sandwich!

We had a few thunderstorms roll through.

We even got a double rainbow.

 

After the rain, we had s'more's. YUM~

Then it was time for Grandpa to fish.

Sunday morning after church, we stopped at Harriman State park

so Sara and her kids could check it out.

It was definitely a great place for a photo op.

The perler beads were a BIG hit this year.

Even with Whitney!

Tom, Grandpa Charlie and Devin left on Sunday afternoon to get back to work.

The girls and kids stuck around to go to Yellowstone and the Playmill.

Yellowstone Park was cold and rainy, but the kids didn't care.

We had to eat our picnic in the car, but we had a great view of

Old Faithful.

The kids were rewarded with a delicious 

ice cream cone from the Old Faithful Inn.

Thankfully the sun finally came out

We had dinner in West Yellowstone and we all went to

Beauty and the Beast.

The kids all loved it, well except for Sophie who got freaked out by the wolves and the beast. We couldn't believe little Leah, she sat through the whole thing.

One of my young women, from our ward, is in the cast of Playmill this year.

It was so fun for the kids to meet her.

Grandpa's cabin is a special place.

We love our visits and can't wait to get together there again!
