"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Happy Birthday America!

Taylor had some days off work at Red Fish Lake Lodge in Stanley for the 4th of July so he drove to Boise to help Devin and Sarah move into their new house and to celebrate Independence Day with us!
Tom and I took a hike Friday morning before all the partying began.
I love hiking in the foothills.

Devin and Taylor participated in a tennis tournament in Hidden Springs.
I think they won every match they played.

We had a wild pool party which always includes a
pass and catch competition.
Devin and Taylor should have gone pro.
Eva is quite daring on the slide.

and with letting Uncle Taylor launch her into the air.
I'm not sure what to think about Devin's slide technique.
We hosted Devin and Sarah and family, and Grandma and Grandpa Charlie
for a delicious Teriyaki Chicken burger fry.

After dinner we had a fireworks show hosted by Devin and Taylor.

Complete with choreography
We walked over to our neighbor's the Manwaring's and finished up our fireworks
and had a flag ceremony

We finished off our celebrating by watching the fireworks at Hawk's stadium.
Happy Birthday America.
We are so thankful to live in this great land of ours.
