We woke up on Christmas eve to another snowstorm.
Taylor did his part to shovel the driveway
Even acting the part of the sand people from Star Wars
We drove up to Hidden Springs on Christmas Eve morning to do some sledding and ice skating.
There's an awesome pond right around the corner from Devin and Sarah's house where the kids can ice skate. The pond just needed to be shoveled first, so Devin set to work shoveling snow.
Tommy had a hard time staying upright on the ice.
Cute girls!
Sarah borrowed skates from a friend for everybody.
Sledding and selfie time
Our neighbors built a snowboard jump in our neighborhood.
They pulled Hunter behind the truck on his snowboard and up over this jump.
It was impressive.
Since it is our tradition to go to another country for Christmas Eve dinner, this year we visited India.
We had some delicious curries, vindaloos, naan, mango lassis, rice and rice pudding for dessert.
After dinner we had our traditional program, I just forgot to take pictures.
Christmas eve jammies
Christmas morning, we drove up to Devin's house bright and early so we could watch the kids open their gifts from Santa.
Christmas morning is always so magical!
Sarah made us a delicious cowboy quiche and hot chocolate and I brought monkey bread
for Christmas breakfast!
After Christmas breakfast we hurried home and got ready for our Sacrament service
Whitney played a beautiful Christmas medley as part of the program.
After church, we finally opened our presents and then we hosted Christmas dinner
We had ham, cheeses, rolls, salads, and yummy leftover treats
Afterwards we had another Christmas program with lots of Christmas carol singing.
Taylor does a mean imitation of Robert Goulet/Michael Buble/Frank Sinatra?
Grandma and Grandpa love to hear Whitney play the piano
There was also lots of dancing
The day after Christmas we had our traditional neighborhood progressive dinner.
This year we went to our friend's the Hathaway's beautiful new home for the dinner.
The Hathaway's have been our neighbors for 25 years but moved out to Eagle this year, so we had to progress to their house.
These neighbors all share the same birthday, February 3!
The week after Christmas we tried to do something fun every night.
We drove out to Caldwell for their Christmas light display.
Wow, we were impressed!
They put on quite a show.
Even though it was very cold, we loved it.
We even took a drive past Grandma and Grandpa Gabe's old house afterwards, to reminisce.
We will definitely make the Caldwell Christmas light display an annual tradition!

Look at Eva skate! I loved living your Christmas with you. Next time, take a picture of our childhood home. I want to see it . . . I think!
You did so many fun things for the holidays - skating, sledding and snowboarding - and I love the cute videos!
I really like your tradition of going to a different country for your menu - the Indian food looks so good!

Wow! Lots of snow and you guys certainly stayed busy. Who knew Caldwell had the city budget to put on a big light show like that?? Must be all the illegal firework sales.
