December started out with cold temperatures and lots of snow.
I think this was the first snowfall of the season.
We have added much more, like 1 1/2 feet more.
It has been a miserable winter, but enough of that.
We had our ward Christmas party the 2nd weekend in December.
The YW were asked to decorate a Christmas tree to give to a family in the ward that didn't have one.
Don't you think our tree turned out fabulous?
Hidden Springs has a performing dance group, featuring Sophie Morris ;)
Tom and I drove up to see Sophie perform.
She did so well!
Afterwards, the kids got to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
I don't think Tommy knew what to think of the white furry guy.
I drove up to Hidden Springs on a cold snowy morning to watch Eva and Sophie perform in their school's elementary music Christmas program.
Nothing brings the spirit of Christmas like a bunch of elementary kids singing Christmas songs.
Eva is the one with the pink flower bow.
The next day Eva and Sophie came over to make ginger bread houses.
They did such a good job and were entertained for about 2 hours.
Don't eat it Grandpa Tom Tom!
They did such a nice job!
We hosted the 2nd annual Gabrielsen Christmas party.
It was so fun having John and Cindy and Missy and Jedd and family over for a baked potato bar,
and hot chocolate bar.
Then we played games and did white elephant gifts.
Such a fun group!
I had my Christmas piano recital the Monday before Christmas.
I have 17 students this year so it's been a busy fall, but they all did a great job!
It's always so nice to have that over with before Christmas.
We perform at an Assisted Living facility and I know the residents enjoy our visit.
Taylor finally got home from BYU on the Tuesday before Christmas.
We looked at Christmas lights with Devin and Sarah the night he got home.
So fun to be together!
The next night we cheered the Cougars on in the Poinsettia Bowl!
The Cougars tried to give it away to the Cowboys in the 4th quarter but
BYU prevailed with a last minute interception.

I agree about the elementary school Christmas music and what cute gingerbread houses! Fun tradition!
Busy month! It's so fun to see family and decorations and even snow! I am so happy for you that you have grandchildren close enough to spend so much time with them. I love the gingerbread houses.
It is so fun to get together with family during the holidays! Devin's girls are both so pretty and little Tommy is such a cute little guy! The gingerbread houses turned out great - what a fun thing to do with your grandkids! How fun to have a Gabrielsen Christmas Party - we really miss those gatherings!!
Those were like expert-level gingerbread houses! I wonder how long they lasted? My kids started eating theirs the next day and I ended up throwing them out a few days later. Oh well. Boise has some great lights!
