"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Family Reunion

Last weekend was our biannual Gabrielsen family reunion. It was so fun getting together with all the extended family and most especially seeing Patty and Hal after two years! Kay and Cindy and I went out to Salem early on Saturday to see Patty while the men golfed. It was so nice being with her and hearing some of her stories.
The Gabrielsen Open golf tournament was held on Saturday morning at the Gladstan course in Payson. Hal, after having not golfed for two years, came away the victor and wont the coveted duck. It is true that Heavenly Father compensates missionaries for their sacrifices :) Rick Stratford won the "Swedish Boy" trophy. We ate subway sandwiches and yummy salads and desserts and Allison and Kelly planned some fun games for the kids. We ended our reunion by sharing memories of Grandma and Grandpa Gabrielsen. It was a wonderful day. We are so blessed to have such a great family!
