"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Whitney Mission "farewell" week

We had such a great week last week when Devin, Sarah and baby Eva came home to hear Whitney speak in Sacrament meeting and to spend a little time with her before she leaves next week for her mission. We spent lots of time in the pool and eating (we had a barbecue on Saturday afternoon, then an open house on Saturday night where we served Russian blintzes, and then we had Cafe Rio sweet pork salad for dinner after church) and partying with Kay and Ken and Whitney's posse. Whitney had 14 friends come from Provo for the weekend. Whitney gave a beautiful talk in church. It was a wonderful week. We'll miss you so much Whit!

Wow! 14 friends came from Provo?!? That's quite the group. I shouldn't be surprised though. Afterall, it is Whitney! It sounds like it was a wonderful weekend. She will be one amazing and gorgeous missionary. Good luck Whit!

Maybe you could put a disclaimer in there that Sara DID try to come-- but the airlines wouldn't have it, just so I don't look like such a schmuck!! Sorry I missed it Whit!! I LOVE YOU!!
