The weekend before we left on our cruise was the YSA branch campout up at Pineflats campground by Lowman. Dad left early afternoon on Friday, but I stayed home and got the house cleaned for Patty and Hal's visit and finished packing for the cruise. I drove up there by myself and got there around dinner time. We ate our subway sandwiches and then went on a hike. They had a campfire program and Dad of course was the main entertainment and told lots of stories including the "water babies" stories. Those kids really like Dad. Landon Grange even got a t-shirt made with Dad's picture on it. Random I know :)
The weather was great and we had a nice evening and roasted marshmallows and had smores and dutch oven cobbler and then went to bed. Dad got up early to help make "mountain man" for breakfast and then he went and got in the hotsprings. I played games and visited with some of the YSAs. We ate breakfast and took down the tent, and deposited our "rock" and were home by 11 am.

What a fun campout, I'm getting excited about camping in Idaho in August.
Pineflats (or maybe it was Poverty Flats?) was one of my favorite places to camp. That t-shirt is too funny!! I'm glad those guys like my dad. Can we reserve our camping trip complete with mountain man breakfast and "water babies" for next summer?!?
What in the world?!? I'm still baffled by that shirt. How much did it cost and how do I get one?
