"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

January Journey

We took a road trip down to Utah last weekend. We left Thursday afternoon and had great roads. We checked into Patty and Hal's new Bed and Breakfast. Their new home is beautiful and it was so fun being with them. Tom went skiing up to Brighton on Friday and Patty and I sorted through Family History boxes. We met Whitney for lunch at Ginger's (an all natural cafe in Springville). That evening, Whitney joined us for a delicious Aunt Patty dinner. Whitney, Tom and I went to the Provo Temple on Saturday morning and then had lunch at Zupa's We drove up through Provo Canyon to Park City and looked around and did some shopping at the Outlet mall. We made it back in Provo just in time for the BYU vs. #21 St. Mary's basketball game. It was a sold out Marriott Center and the atmosphere was electric. We had seats on the top row so at least we had a back rest for our bleacher seats.
Unfortunately the Cougars didn't play that great and the Gael's did with a lot of help from the refs, so the Cougars lost.
We got up early on Sunday morning and drove back to Boise so Tom could make it to all his Bishopric meetings. It was a great road trip and a great way to escape the Winter blues.

What a fun trip...yet another thing I've missed out on since moving down South. Is Whitney sporting a new haircut?
