"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

YSA FHE at the Morris's and Ironman?

Don't you love all the initials we use in the church? So for those of you who don't know, Tom serves in the branch presidency of the young single adult (YSA) branch in our area and last Monday night it was our turn host family home evening (FHE). We didn't want to just watch a movie so we decided to play games. We played Catch Phrase, then a music trivia game (Tom's favorite), then we played 4 on a couch. I made brownie sundaes for dessert and I think everyone had a great time. It was fun having them all over.
This has nothing to do with the FHE activity, but last Friday was the premier of Ironman 2 so Taylor and Colton decided to go to the midnight showing late Thursday night. Colton devised an Ironman costume, complete with "push-on light" and Taylor was forced to try and dress like the Black Widow?. It wasn't quite like a Star Wars or Harry Potter premier where everyone dresses up, so I'm sure Colton was a hit at the theater.

What the?!?!? I don't get it. What do either of those costumes have to do with Iron Man?? Looks like your FHE was a blast though.

Sometimes I dream about Taylor and Colton as roommates at BYU this fall. I always wake up in a cold sweat. The only way I can ever go back to sleep is by assuring myself that all of our insurance is paid up and in place, and then coming to peace with the thought that, somehow, it will all work out.

Your FHE looks like it was fun! I love brownies sundaes!
Those costumes are great - so creative. I don't know enough about Iron Man to know if the costumes make sense or not - but they look good!

I'm laughing so hard about the costumes. They are going to be at hit at BYU as well. Helaman Halls is made for them and vice versa.
