In spite of the crazy "spring" weather we've been having in Boise(it has been so cold and blustery), it is tennis season. This is Taylor's 4th year of Varsity tennis and he is one of the leaders on the team. He played singles the first half of the season and went undefeated, even winning the 2nd single's championship at the Lewiston Tournament in March. He has been playing boy's doubles the 2nd half of the season with his friend Reed Stauffer. They have only lost once against Boise and once this weekend in the Capital Invitational Tournament to Idaho Falls. It was such a close match. They lost the first set in a tie breaker 6-6 (7-5), and they lost the second set 6-4. They were never able to break Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls went on to lose in the championship match against Boise (it was a repeat matchup of the teams that played for the state championship last year). They only have two regular season matches left to play this week, then it is the District Tournament and then the State Tournament the weekend before graduation. We are hoping they continue their winning ways and end their high school tennis with a championship!
On a side note, Tom and I were asked to chaperone the Young Single Adult "Decades" dance last weekend. Of course we chose to dress up like our favorite decade, the 70's. All the young single adults wondered who the long-haired hippie dude was.

Dude, you weren't kidding, Dad did look like Howard Stern. That's creepy. I'm sure it felt like just another night at Merritt's for the regulars when you guys rolled in.
Love the costumes! And Devin's right, Tom does look like Howard Stern.
Great job Taylor!!! I think those costumes should be worn to his next game for good luck!
Nice work Taylo!! Win one for me. I'm surprised you ventured to Merritts-- I guess the layer of cigarette smoke clinging to your costumes afterwards added a new element. Oh wait, you probably sat in the non-smoking section separated by a lattice fence, right?
Wow, go Taylor!!! And go Aunt Joan and Uncle Tom; love the hippie costumes.
