"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

4th of July, Island Park Style

Taylor, Whitney, Tom and I headed over to Island Park to celebrate the 4th of July with Grandma and Grandpa Morris. Our first stop was Yellowstone National Park. We drove up to Mammoth Hot Springs

and had a terrific picnic. We rated it a 9.5. It had water, beautiful scenery, and good company (almost our whole family). Afterwards we went on a hike up to a gorgeous waterfall.

Yellowstone Park was beautiful and green. We saw lots of animals, especially buffalo.

We ate good food, played games, and Whitney was our Yogini and led us in our yoga practice on the deck every morning.
Charlie even gave it a try.
Tom and Taylor took some great bike rides in Harriman State Park.

Saturday afternoon, Lucille, Whitney and I went to the Playmill theater and watched "High School Musical". They did a good job, even though it wasn't our first choice in musicals :)
We went to church in Ashton and stopped at Warm Springs and fed the fish on the way home.

Sunday, after a delicious Grandma Charlie roast beef dinner, we took a drive into Red Rock Lake in Montana.
It was a beautiful drive. We found a retreat for earth muffins and a mountain named after Taylor.
Monday we cleaned up the cabin and headed back to Boise where we had a Carl's Jr. hamburger fry and watched our neighbor's illegal fireworks show.

Oh, wow! I'd forgotten how beautiful yellowstone area is! What nice pictures. I'm glad you didn't name your neighbors with illegal fireworks on your public blog. . . I have a guess . . .
