"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."—Thomas S. Monson

Summer fun with the Cardon's

We got home from the cabin and Whitney, Sara and her kids came for a month long visit the next day! We had so much fun! We tried to cram a whole summer's worth of fun into 3 short weeks. Lucy spent as much time as possible swimming in the pool. By the time she left, she had an amazing tan and was quite the little fish.

We went to the Boise Zoo.
It is actually just the perfect size for preschool kids. They had a great butterfly exhibit. Lucy was so thrilled when one landed on her shoulder. She named her "Spot".
We stopped for lunch at the Boise Fry Company. Sara wanted to visit some of the places Guy Fieri visited on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" when he came to Boise. The hamburgers aren't anything to write home about, but the fries and dipping sauces are yummy.
We visited Grandma and Grandpa Charlie and Lucy got to look at all her beautiful jewelry. Whitney and Lucy made "Pinkalicious" cupcakes.
They were delicious!

We went on a picnic with Grandpa Tom Tom to a splash park in Eagle.
Missy brought her kids over to swim one afternoon and Zach loved playing with Sam and Jared and Lucy thought Ellie was her long lost friend!
Boise has some great Mexican restaurants so we sampled some great cuisine.
We went camping up to Grand Jean with Missy and Jed and family. Zach and Lucy were in heaven, as was Grandpa Tom Tom. There aren't many places more beautiful that Stanley, Idaho and the Sawtooth mountain range.
Grandpa Tom Tom even found a hot springs just Zach and Lucy's size.

There's nothing better than mountain man breakfast in the mountains.
We had a wonderful time!

It all looks so fun. That hot springs looks like my kind of place, but that pool . .. that pool . . .

Came back to read the post again and check out your new top of the blog family (almost all) picture. Love it. How on earth did you get all those kids to be good at the same time? Send me your tricks as we're doing it in December.
